Our services
West Pine delivers projects with purpose, helping businesses create positive sustainability and social impact whilst supporting productivity and financial goals.
Our services span the complete journey: from identifying opportunities to proving and sharing impact.
Strategy & Planning
Every successful project starts with clear strategy. We help you identify sustainability and impact opportunities that align with your business objectives, then rigorously assess whether they make strategic and financial sense.
-
We work with you to uncover sustainability opportunities tailored to your business context. This might include emissions reduction pathways, circular economy opportunities, waste diversion, renewable energy integration, or supply chain sustainability improvements. We focus on what's genuinely achievable in your operating environment.
-
Our project managers and business analysts assess viability, costs, and potential returns to ensure projects make strategic and financial sense before you commit resources. We provide clear-eyed analysis of technical requirements, financial implications, and realistic timeframes so you can make informed decisions.
Engagement & Delivery
Great plans need skilled execution. We manage the implementation of sustainability and impact projects from start to finish, ensuring they're delivered on time, to specification, and with the right people on board.
-
Complex projects succeed when the right partners are engaged and aligned. We facilitate stakeholder consultation, secure buy-in from key decision makers, and where appropriate, identify and secure financial co-contributions from funding bodies, industry partners, or government programs to support project delivery.
-
From procurement and contractor management to quality assurance and risk mitigation, we manage the practical details that determine whether projects succeed or stall. Our project managers keep initiatives on track, on budget, and aligned with your operational realities.
Measurement & Communication
The final step is proving and sharing your impact. We quantify outcomes, then help you communicate these results in ways that resonate with customers, investors, and communities.
-
We use emission assessment to measure impact, understand environmental impact and identify the most meaningful opportunities for improvement. Our CPA accredited carbon accountants measure greenhouse gas emissions using internationally recognised standards to ensure your data will be accepted and understood wherever it's needed.
-
We translate complex sustainability data into clear, compelling reports and communications for different audiences. Whether you're responding to a customer requests, reporting to investors and stakeholders, or sharing your sustainability journey with your community, we help you communicate with clarity and credibility.
FEATURED PROJECT
Molasses Extract Plant
Lesaffre Asia Pacific
Melbourne
-
The first of its kind in Australia, the molasses extract plant has the dual benefit of collecting the nutrient-rich derivatives produced through yeast production, which can then be used as food-grade mineral fertiliser for industrial agriculture, as well as significantly reducing the colour and viscosity of the water that is discharged to Melbourne's Eastern Treatment Plant.

FEATURED PROJECT
Straw Energy Feasibility
Future Farms Tasmania
Tasmania & Victoria
-
The Future Farms Project explored the use of waste crop residue for bioenergy production.
The project undertook an economic and environmental feasibility of ‘at source’ biomass fuel production from a range of crop residues, focused on those that do not hold value for stock feed or would otherwise be burned in field.
Straw pellets produced by the Krone Premos 5000 were trialled at biomass boilers at Beaufort and Skipton hospitals.

OUR APPROACH TO
Carbon Accounting
01
Reporting that adds value
We want your carbon report to add value to your business. That means it needs to meet the requirements of your customers, certification schemes, and compliance obligations, all at once. This is why accuracy and quality matter at West Pine.
As a certified CPA Australia Public Practice, we're committed to delivering carbon accounting services tailored to agricultural businesses, done right the first time.
02
Using global standards
We conduct carbon accounting in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), the leading global standard used by companies and governments worldwide to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions.
The GHG Protocol classifies emissions into three categories (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3) which together capture the full picture: direct emissions from your operations, energy you purchase, and emissions from your supply chain.
We use the GHG Protocol because it's robust, practical, and the most widely adopted standard globally. This means your emissions data will be accepted and understood wherever in the world it's needed, by your customers, industry, and regulators.
03
Meets Australian requirements
In Australia, the GHG Protocol is the required standard for climate-related disclosures under AASB S2. This means when large companies ask their suppliers for emissions data, they need it calculated using the GHG Protocol. By using this standard from the start, your business is prepared.
